The Anacostia Playhouse is located in southeast Washington, DC in what is now called historic downtown Anacostia. Opening in late summer of 2013, the theater at 2020 Shannon Place, SE, is located in a place of both rich history and great promise. Theatres across the greater Washington, DC area have united to provide the highest level of public safety for their audiences, artists, staff, and volunteers, by requiring that all audience members be fully masked to attend all live public performances at their indoor venues.
