What to Expect

Prepare for an unforgettable journey into the pristine waters of Crystal River, a renowned sanctuary for Florida's majestic manatees. Gulf Coast Expeditions provides a private VIP Manatee Encounter, thoughtfully crafted to offer an intimate and respectful interaction with these gentle giants. Participants embark on a comprehensive three-hour exploration of King's Bay, where the crystal-clear, spring-fed waters create an ideal habitat.

A dedicated Captain expertly navigates the boat, while an in-water guide leads the group for a close-up, respectful encounter with the manatees. All necessary equipment, including masks, snorkels, and wetsuits, is provided for comfort and safety, alongside hot and cold beverages and snacks. As a cherished memento, all photos and videos from the trip are included, allowing guests to relive their incredible experience. During peak season (November-March), air temperatures can be cool, ranging from 30s-50s F, so guests should dress warmly for after exiting the 72-degree water.
