Hydrogen peroxide is the bleaching agent that changes the color of the teeth. Glycerol is one of the effective plaque dissolving agents, allowing the whitening gel to penetrate stains. It also acts as a medical-grade preservative to keep the solution from drying out. ACP clusters can fill open dentinal tubules, reducing sensitivity. ACP crystallizes into a new coating of hydroxyapatite, rebuilding enamel and filling surface defects on the teeth to add luster. Potassium nitrate is added to help eliminate tooth sensitivity caused by whitening and prevent re-staining in the process. It is designed to calm the tooth's nerve activity so that you feel less discomfort. Cellulose gum acts as a stabilizing and thickening agent.- Deionized water is just H2O in its purest form, making it ideal for procedures like teeth whitening. Carbomer acts as a solution thickener.
