What to Expect

Step into an expansive, three-story immersive art installation at I Saw A Mothership, where 51 original works guide visitors through distinct eras of speculative fiction and societal reflection. On Floor 1, immerse yourself in diner-era Americana with mint green walls and checkered floors, then transition to the mod rooms of the 60s and 70s. Confront the science fiction of the past, like "The Day the Earth Stood Still," which served as warning systems about institutional collapse and the weaponization of science.

Ascend to Floor 2, where lights illuminate art exploring the 1980s corporate capture and the algorithmic control of the 1990s. Mirrored walls in the 2000s section reflect a culture obsessed with self-image. Finally, climb a stairwell lined with original visions of the future, co-created by Atlanta youth. Explore The Garden of Jza, a lush environment reclaiming the divine feminine, anchored by The First Cookout, a reimagining of The Last Supper featuring thirteen contemporary visionaries. Conclude your journey in The Future Lab, a lounge-style think tank and black-lit aether room designed for imagining and authoring your own future.
