About Ike's Place

A sandwich is basically a blank slate with infinite permutations, and Ike's Place is determined to create about as many variations as the mind can fathom. They have come up with hundreds over the years, most of which bear idiosyncratic names such as "Reading Rainbow" and "Sometimes I'm a Vegetarian." The "Go Sharks!" is not in fact a hockey puck on rye, but a blend of vegan chicken with honey mustard, gouda, and buffalo sauce, and the "[Your Favorite Peanuts Character]" includes cream cheese, pesto, cucumbers, and avocado.

With so many options, Ike's naturally caters to a broad range of dietary concerns. There's gluten-free bread on-hand and a slew of sandwiches with halal meat, and nearly everything on the menu can be altered to vegetarian and vegan tastes. In fact, the vegan meatballs were named the best in America by PETA.
