The Lewis Latimer House Museum honors the life and legacy of African American inventor, electrical pioneer, and Renaissance man Lewis H. Latimer. Located in the heart of Flushing, Queens, the museum features interactive exhibitions and educational programs that spark creativity, celebrate Black heritage, and inspire innovation.
This summer, the museum invites families and young learners to a special 4-week Wednesday Workshop Series beginning June 25. Each week features hands-on STEAM activities inspired by Latimer and his family's lasting impact on technology, art, and community empowerment.
