Given that Mad River Distillers is built on a 150-year-old farm, it's fitting that it uses many ingredients that would've been available over 150 years ago. The water that goes into its spirits, for example, is pulled from a pure mountain spring that bubbles not far from the farm itself. Its grains, too, come from local Vermont harvesters, who grow their crops without the help of GMOs or unnatural chemicals. Its Mad River Distillers's firm belief that their dedication to sustainable and natural ingredients is what gives their liquors such character, with spirits such as:
- Revolution Rye: In an attempt to revitalize the popularity of rye to what it once was in George Washington's day, the distillers have enhanced this rye's characteristic earthy and peppery flavor with hints of walnuts, berries, and tropical spice and a strong cocoa-rich finish.
- Maple Cask Rum: The very last step of this rum's journey is to be finished off in maple syrup barrels, which infuse the spirit with a bourbon-like sweetness. Along with maple, its flavors include tropical fruit and butterscotch.
