All students and staff are required to show proof of vaccination and masks must be worn.
This class will cover basic beginner techniques in hand-building which is a pre-requisite for beginners working with clay. Through demonstrations, you will be instructed by our professional ceramic artists, guiding you to complete a project.
If you want to keep your work there will be a fee of $15 (per piece) to glaze your ware (during the session). Your piece will remain in the studio to be fired in our kiln and a later pickup. At the end of the class, if you like, you can take a quick spin on the pottery wheel. Just be prepared to get dirty!
Classes are offered: Wednesday and Thursdays 6:30-9:00 pm and Sundays 12:30-3:00 PM. Instructions for reserving your space are on the voucher.
About Tribeca Clayworks at Downtown Community Center
