About Maryland Gym Adventure

The Shrewsbury family has been teaching kids the arts of gymnastics, cheer, and tumbling for more than 50 years. When Carolyn and Jerry Shrewsbury started MGA in 1964, they sparked a tradition of success, as evidenced by the many local champions and title-holders who graduated from their gym.

Today, their son Brian carries on the tradition with a syllabus of boys' and girls' gymnastics classes, competitive cheerleading programs, and tumbling classes for both recreation and competition. Their recreational classes focus more on having fun, developing motor skills, and building self-confidence, while the competitive programs emphasize mastering techniques for cartwheels, back handsprings, and high-fives.
