A fun lively venue with outstanding instructors. Spacious ballroom has perfect hardwood dance floor. Friendly helpful assistants to answer questions about programs and options. Location can be difficult to find using Google Maps. The ballroom is in a horseshoe conglomeration of buildings off Boatman St in an industrial park location. They usually (but not always) have an easel board outside by the entrance to the parking lot, which is necessary because the ballroom entrance is not visible from the street and signage can’t be seen unless you are at the doorway. The parking lot entrance is across the street from a small Mexican Restaurant. No other offices or enterprises are open in the evening hours to ask for directions. If your first-time visit is after 6pm, arrive early enough for lessons to allow ample time to find the place because it is a huge industrial park. It’s a great place to have fun, get your daily dose of exercise and forget your cares for awhile.
Location is a little out of the way (industrial sac)... but the environment was fun and welcoming. My private lesson was right at my level and my instructor was encouraging and simplified thinfs to my level. I'm not really reqdy for open dance nights on Fridays... But I've never been much of a dancer either 🙈
$23.62 for five admissions to Friday Night Swing lessons plus one 45-minute private lesson ($135 value)

About Midtown Stomp Swing Dancing
Sometimes you just need to dance, and the hokey-pokey won't do. For those times, there's Midtown Stomp, a dance hall filling the floors every week with swinging jazz and big band music. With group classes such as street swing, solo swing, and lindy hop, the expert rug-cutters bring even beginners back to an era of freewheeling steps and carefree fun. Students without a partner can count on finding a companion at class. And outside of the toe-tapping classroom, Midtown Stomp hosts regular social dances soundtracked by a live band.
