Good to Know

  • Bouldering

    Climbing on shorter walls (about 15 feet) without a rope. Safety pads are provided under the walls. No partner is required. Accessible for all skill levels, featuring an adult bouldering area (ages 12 and up) and a dedicated kids' area (ages 3–11). A 4-minute safety orientation video is required.

  • Auto-Belay

    Climbing on slightly taller walls (about 20 feet) while secured to a retractable tether that slowly lowers you back to the safety pad. No partner is required. Appropriate for ages 3 and up. Staff demonstration and safety orientation are provided.

  • Top Rope

    Climbing on taller 50-foot walls with a rope tied to your harness and a belayer on the ground holding the rope. A partner is required. Climbers can be aged 3 and up, but belayers must be aged 12 and up and hold a Top Rope Certification from Momentum staff.

Our state-of-the-art facility offers Katy climbers 12,700 sq. ft. of floor for roped climbing with over 20,000 sq. ft. of wall surface, 6,950 sq. ft. of floor for bouldering with 5,400 sq. ft. of wall surface including a topout boulder, and 5,520 sq. ft. of floor for world-class training facilities. Additionally, we have 2,800 sq. ft. dedicated to a children’s climbing and play zone with 1,700 sq. ft. of wall surface including a kids’ boulder.
