Mt. Washington Manor Haunted House is a fundraising and community project created by the members of Mt. Washington Lodge—a hands-on way to bring some much-needed Halloween excitement to Mt. Washington, Fairmont, and Sugar Creek. Set in the lower level of a 100-year-old Masonic temple, the Manor delivers old-building chills with a neighborhood-made spirit. And word travels fast when the screams are good: what started as a local tradition in Independence has quickly grown into a can’t-miss stop for haunted-house fans across the greater Kansas City area.
