Napa Valley Distillery, founded by the Hartunian family, embodies a deep passion for handcrafted spirits. What began on a kitchen counter with hand-peeled organic lemons for a liqueur, has evolved into a distinctive distillery experience. They pride themselves on using only the finest ingredients, a philosophy that led their Meyer lemon liqueur to win a platinum medal at the World Spirits Competition in Switzerland. Driven by a desire to create rare and unique products, Arthur, a self-described “cocktail geek,” and Lusine, the master taster, launched the distillery in 2009. Their vision created a tasting room, the Grand Salon, which transports visitors back to the glamour of Art Deco and Old Hollywood. They collaborate with local winemakers to age their spirits in unique barrels, developing distinct flavor profiles. The distillery also sources local ingredients for their cocktails, including three types of mint for juleps, and infuses their vodka and gin with Napa Valley sauvignon blanc. Their innovative approach extends to crafting their own bitters and syrups, ensuring a truly artisanal experience.
