A Chat with Pixie Fitness
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Pixie employs only highly-trained, top-notch instructors who specialize in introductory students. So if this is your 1st time pole dancing you will be fine! This school is nice friendly and clean! A lot of time and money was put into the build out of Pixie Fitness. We use only high rated rigging and competition line poles for the safety of our staff and students. We put emphasis on keeping a clean and classy environment. (No concrete floors here!) Large 10x8 ft real glass mirrors are there for you so you don’t miss a thing! No other studio pays this much attention to detail like we do.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? In 2000, Jacqueline Amendola, owner of Pixie Fitness, strutted her way to the title of Exotic Dancer magazine’s World’s Sexiest Showgirl. As a headliner, she mastered all manner of inversions and twirls, keeping in peak physical shape as a personal trainer of 12 years. Today (20 years later), she leans on this experience to lead pole-dancing classes and a variety of group fitness classes and sensual dance. Once I saw this became a sport I knew I would create the best studio in South Florida!
What do you love most about your job? I absolutely do not like regular exercise! I love sharing the fun I have created in a workout through pole fitness and the aerial arts! I love being sporty & sexy. I love empowering women and men.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer? Once, I finished teaching a class and none of the students wanted to leave! They had such a hard time facing the reality that class was over. They never wanted the class to stop! It was as if they never heard me say to wipe down their poles and put their towels in the dirty bin. That happens a lot.
