About Springfield Distillery

Kelly and James Gordon founded Springfield Distillery after turning their love of colonial America into a passion project. In 2010, they embarked on a search for a historic property with commercial potential, and Springfield, with its mid-eighteenth-century redbrick house and forested lands, proved perfect. Soon Kelly and James were able to open up a distillery on the premises, and they began sourcing local grains in order to make small-batch whiskey and rum. They also serve Honey Flavored Whiskey.

  • Scratch corn whiskey: Made exclusively from Virginia grains, this 90-proof spirit recalls the pre-Prohibition moonshine produced by Scotch-Irish immigrants.
  • Coming Soon: Beaver King Rum: Beaver King laughs in the face of the Sugar Act of 1764. Distilled from sugar-cane molasses, it's dedicated to Virginia's rich Revolutionary history and hardworking spirit.
