Our Low Pressures are a low wattage UVB sunbed that are lined with full-body length lamps. The sunbeds feature a wide curved 7-foot surface above and below for an efficient session that doesn't require flipping. We recommend all new clients start off with a lower time, building their tanning tolerance. The Low Pressure beds have a maximum time of 15-20 minutes, perfect for those in search of some relaxing ''Me Time''!

WHAT DOES UVB IN A SUNBED DO?

​UVB in a sunbed is helpful when you begin tanning to start building the color of your melanin. Building your melanin with UVB builds a base tan and can prepare the skin's natural defensive SPF for outside.

WHY WOULD SOMEONE CHOOSE THIS SUNBED?

​The Low Pressure entry level sunbed is great for tanners with fair skin that are looking to build their natural color and base tan.

WHAT DOES A GOOD TANNING ROUTINE LOOK LIKE?

​A tan should be acquired gradually, we suggest our clients start at low times and slowly increase their time. It is also important to pair your session with a tanning lotion for a healthy looking tan.

WHY SHOULD I USE AN INDOOR TANNING LOTION?

Dry skin can reflect UV light, negatively affecting your color development. Moisturized skin will prepare the skin to receive UV light and will produce the results possible.

The tanning lotions we sell at Sun Studio are specifically designed to be used for indoor tanning. You will achieve a healthier tan with products that work to provide vitamins and skin care ingredients that may be depleted during the tanning process. It is vital to replenish nutrients and moisture back into the skin.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I DON’T USE A TANNING LOTION?

Your skin will be dehydrated and lose vital nutrients. Dehydrated skin will then work like a barrier and reflect UV light, limiting your absorption. A lot of what you tan is topical, without lotion your tan will not look healthy on dry skin and it will also fade faster.
