What We Offer
1-Day Workshop: Basic Introduction to Glassblowing
In this 3-hour course, students learn to gather molten glass from a 2100°F furnace. Perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their technique in a small class setting.
Highlights: Create and keep a colorful paperweight and a small cup. All materials included.
1-Day Workshop: Introduction to Flameworking
Learn the art of lampworking using a small flame and hand tools. This workshop focuses on heat control, color application, and shaping with borosilicate glass.
Highlights: Create and keep custom glass rings. Limited to 6 students.
Private Glassblowing Lesson
Enjoy a focused, two-hour private session. This lesson offers personalized instruction and can be shared by up to four people for the same price.

Beginner Through Intermediate Glassblowing (5-Week Class)

Registration & Scheduling
Secure your spot at the furnace. Classes are added to the calendar throughout the year. Be advised, the studio is closed for the Summer (Mid-June through August). Classes are currently available for registration in May, June, September, October, November and December.

Like the quadruple-digit fire inside the studio's furnace, the instructors' enthusiasm helps budding artists create things they could not have attempted on their own. Classes are strictly kept to four to ten students, ensuring everyone has a clear view and ample time at the furnace. During the day, the professional studio operates as a core part of The Crefeld School's art program.
