instructor bio....Katherine Mcculla is a welcoming driven and accessible artist whose presence demands attention. Katherine trained under the Horton syllabus and ABT Curriculum. She performed in Dido and Anenas as soloist for SMC Opera, and shortly after choreographed and danced a solo work at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica.
After college she completed her Pilates certification, PBT certification and yoga certification.
Katherine continued excelling her training by attending Bodytraffic summer program, San Francisco Conservatory ,and ODC summer program. Professionally She has also performed with the company American theatre Circus and has choreographed for festivals and Disneyland shows and commercial music videos.
After choreographing for American Theatre Circus and California contemporary ballet Katherine
started the mcculla movement. She expanded her college solo Captive into an 8 min piece and
presented it at Awakenings and beginning International Dance festival. The piece won the
Emerging Artist category which was audience voted. July 2018 the mcculla movement was
gifted residency at Highways Performance space in Santa Monica and performed for Dance for
Montecito.

About The Mcculla Movement
The Mcculla Movement strives to make movement accessible to everyone. We train the top Ballet dancers in the field to the pilates novice. Our workouts always build upon the last one and there are so many to choose from! 15 days 45 min a day and your body will change ! Sleek streamlined intentional movement has the ability to change bodies! Try all the workouts from straight laced pilates mat to high intensity barre to Guns Buns and Abs there is something for everyone! We also have a Dancers Body series including pointe work , ballet class, PBT and turnout series. And for educators and instructors learn more about anatomy and teaching through our tutorials !
