What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Portland's original yoga center- we bring 40 years of experience to our teaching. There is a welcoming sense of community in the classes. We focus on a somatic re-education helping our clients to do yoga from the inside out rather than following a set series of poses. And we have FREE PARKING!
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
We have great attendance because we make it fun, relaxing, and creative. We want people to learn new things about themselves and their bodies.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Our love of YOGA and wanting to share it with others. Originally I read Siddhartha by Herman Hess and took a local hatha class and went on from there.
What do you love most about your job?
The people (students, teachers) and after 40 years I am still excited about Yoga and I learn something new everyday!

About The Yoga Center

Along with basic yoga classes, the studio offers restorative yoga, faster-paced Vinyasa yoga, and meditation yoga. Students practice in the center's fully-equipped and spacious studios, which are painted in tranquil colors.
