What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We focus on the Okinawan art of adult self defense for life preservation. The natural, easy to learn body movements require little strength. Our instructor brings authentic Okinawan karate he learns directly since 1979 from Seikichi Iha, 10th Degree, one of the senior most Okinawan Karate Masters.
Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well?
We focus on adult instruction. Yet some find participating in class with their children beneficial to their family lives. Mature teenagers attend class without their parents. Pre-teens attend with their parents. This is for self defense rather than competition.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
If you know self-defense karate you may never need to use it. Those that don't know self-defense karate often find themselves in unfortunate situations where they wish they knew something to protect themselves.
What do you love most about your job?
The joy of watching people discover these natural body movements work on much larger and stronger people as well as people their own size.
