Fluid Painting

Fluid Painting is, as VisArts fittingly describes it, “painting without a brush”—artists craft unique creations using acrylic paints and various pouring mediums, including dirty and puddle pouring as well as swiping. During a Fluid Painting session, each student learns these basics and completes two paintings (or additional for $10 per canvas). Then, they pick up the finished products one week later, after the pieces have dried. Students pick up their finished art at the 3rd floor administrative office, where pieces will be held for up to one month.

About VisArts

A nonprofit community arts center, VisArts fills its studios with artists learning techniques of creative expression, and acts as an exhibition opportunity for seasoned creators. Classes span a wide artistic spectrum, including concentrations such as ceramics and glass, many of which can be specifically tailored for the educational needs of children or resurrected Renaissance men in need of a new hobby. VisArts also aims to enrich the community with a trifecta of galleries—the Kaplan, Gibbs Street, and Common Ground—and a thriving resident-artist program.
