I had some issues with scheduling my appointment with the receptionist and when I informed them, I was comped with a hot stone treatment for both of us.
The facility was clean. The masseuses were very skilled. It’s my go to spa now.
It was my first time but had a wonderful experience. First was the check in. Then the room with hot tub and steam room. After half an hour they use the intercom to let you know to come out. I had a robe on and went for a walk up stairs, and was shown to a room. Was told to lay down ,I proceeded. Then the masseuse comes in and does their thing for an hour. Then you had out refreshed.
Massage and facial was good but didn’t like the fact of feeling pressured at the end to tip more. Yea they did a good job and we were going to tip accordingly but it felt awkward when the lady at the front desk said we should leave more and showed us their tipping system.
The Water Lounge Spa in Millbrae, CA is very nice. I feel completely relaxed when I visit. The environment is quiet, and peaceful. The masseuses are professional, accommodating, and know what they are doing. I prefer medium pressure when doing deep tissue massage, and like I said, they are accommodating to my request.
