Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace

Price range: $$$$ (massages start at $165; facials start at $185)

The vibe: Opulent Roman bathhouse with cascading waterfalls

What to get: Any of the exclusive Nobu-brand treatments, such as the indulgent 100-minute Nagomi Ritual with a traditional Japanese footbath, a full-body massage with shiatsu, Thai, and Balinese techniques, and a facial (from $400).

Luxe amenities: All treatments include access to the Arctic Ice Room, three Roman baths, tea lounge (where a tea sommelier awaits), and laconium dry-heat room.

Spotlight on the Arctic Ice Room, where you can make it snow: Here, heated floors and benches keep you comfortable as faux snow falls from above, gently tickling your skin as you breathe in fresh, mint-scented air. Before or after any treatment at the spa, settle into the room, grab a handful of ice chips for a little added refreshment, and jump-start a sluggish circulatory system.

The Spa at Encore

Price range: $$$$ (massages start at $180; facials start at $180)

The vibe: palatial Asian-themed retreat filled with blossoming orchids, life-sized Buddhas, and glowing lanterns

What to get: Diamond Rose Body Renewal, a body treatment that leaves skin luminous after an application of diamond dust and Moroccan damask rose (from $200)

Luxe amenities: garden villas, hot and cold plunge pools, steam room, experience showers

Spotlight on the Encore Escape Treatment: This is one of the best spas in Las Vegas because of its unique treatments, including the Encore Escape Treatment (from $395). During the 105- or 130-minute experience, a massage therapist turns muscles to butter using Thai stretching and lomi lomi techniques. The treatment also incorporates Thai-herb poultices, hot and cold stones, warm wraps, and a shirodhara-oil scalp massage.

Canyon Ranch SpaClub at the Venetian and Palazzo

Price range: $$$$ (massages start at $165; facials start at $185)

The vibe: 134,000-square-foot wellness complex complete with a rock climbing wall and a cafe that serves healthy dishes, such as grilled organic salmon

What to get: Abhyanga full-body treatment, during which two therapists use synchronistic rhythms and warm sesame oil to manipulate energy points on the body (from $245)

Luxe amenities: Aquavana thermal cabins, where an herbal laconium, igloo, salt grotto, crystal steam room, and experiential-rain area await spa-goers

Spotlight on the Herbal Laconium: The heated laconium emits herb-infused steam for you to drink in while sitting on one of the six recessed seats along the wall.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental

Price range: $$$$ (massages start at $170; facials start at $180)

The vibe: 1930s Shanghai haven with Middle Eastern influences

What to get: Chinese foot treatment (from $100) to relieve aching feet and lower legs, paired with a visit to the Moroccan Rhassoul (women only; $100)

Luxe amenities: Aromatherapy steam room, vitality pool with views of The Strip, laconium room and sauna, heated tepidarium chairs, personal experience showers with special lighting and scents, and ice fountains

Spotlight on the Moroccan Rhassoul: In the women's area lies the spa's Moroccan Rhassoul, where female guests apply skin-soothing mud to their bodies and faces and lounge in a heated room. The heat dries out the mud and as it dries, the mud pulls gunk from pores. Next, an aromatic steam fills the room, moistening the mud once again so the body can absorb the mud's natural minerals. A refreshing rain shower concludes the treatment.

ESPA at Vdara

Price range: $$$$ (massages start at $165; facials start at $160)

The vibe: Intimate, contemporary, eco-friendly spa with organic skincare products and vegan nail polishes

What to get: Desert Rose signature treatment, which eases aches with a body and scalp massage before sloughing off dead skin with a salt scrub and hydrating it with body butter (from $310)

Luxe amenities: Smoothie bar, eucalyptus steam room, redwood sauna, plunge pool surrounded by heated leather lounge chairs, and Jacuzzi

Spotlight on its eco-friendly practices: ESPA was the first Las Vegas spa to join the Green Spa network, which is dedicated to making the spa industry more eco-friendly. It features natural and organic products, including the vegan nail polish brand SpaRitual, as well as water-saving showers. Plus, its housed in Vdara, the boutique LEED-certified hotel committed to sustainability.
