When the weather has finally warmed up and the beach is calling your name, the last thing you want to do is spend hours primping in front of the mirror. Fortunately, I’ve created a grab bag of cute hairstyles that can be completed within minutes for almost any hair type.

Best of all, these five summer hairstyles are super easy and take minimal effort while packing in maximum style points. Take a look:

Twisted crown

This simple half-up, half-down look is whimsical enough for a music festival yet classy enough for a June wedding.

What you need:

• Teasing comb
• Bobby pins

What you do:

1. Tease the section of hair at the crown of your head.
2. Part the hair down the middle, grabbing a 1- to 2-inch section of hair on either side near the front.
3. Starting at the scalp, start twisting each section of hair toward the back. Then, secure each section with a pin in the middle of the back of your head.
4. Use the twists to conceal the pins on both sides, giving the illusion of a continuous, crown-like effect.

Textured faux bob

Enjoy all the fun of shorter hair but without any of the long-term commitment that comes along with actually snipping your tresses.

What you need:

• Teasing comb
• Hairspray
• Lots and lots of bobby pins
• Curling iron (optional)

What you do:

1. Slightly tease the ends of your hair and use hairspray to hold the volume.
2. Split your hair into three parts—one on each side of the face and the third in the back.
3. Using your fingers, curl each section of hair inward and roll upward until you've reached your desired length.
4. Use pins to secure each section, making sure to place the pins on the insides so they aren't outwardly visible.
5. To help make the faux bob look more natural, slightly tug at the top layer of hair and tousle with fingers to blend everything together.

(Pro tip: If you have longer hair that isn't layered, leave 1-inch-wide sections of hair out in the front, then curl with a curling iron and loosely pin it up.)

Half-up mini top knot

One of my favorite easy hairstyles, this look is an effortless and fun way to keep locks out of your face while still wearing your hair down.

What you need:

• Hair elastic
• Bobby pins
• Texturizing spray (optional)
• Curling iron

What you do:

1. Section off the top portion of your hair, grabbing as much or as little as you prefer.
2. Use a texturizing spray to add volume to this top section. Really work the product in to help make the hair appear thicker.
3. Twist the top section of hair into a loose and messy bun and secure it with a ponytail holder.
4. Adjust the bun to your liking, making it look as messy or as neat as you like by gently pulling pieces of hair and pinning as needed.
5. Complete the look by adding a few loose curls to the strands of hair in the front to help frame the face and bring everything together.

Voluminous side-swept bun

The quickest and most elegant way to conceal a bad hair day, this side-oriented updo can make you look like a hair expert in a matter of minutes.

What you need:

• Teasing comb
• Hairspray
• Hair elastic
• Bobby pins

What you do:

1. Tease the hair at the crown of your head and spritz with hairspray to hold.
2. Gather all of your hair to one side and place into a low ponytail.
3. Using the palm of your hand, push the ends of your hair up and form a loose, messy bun.
4. Start pinning the hair to your head while adjusting pieces until you’ve achieved your desired look.

Triple-braided pigtails

An updated version of the classic girlish 'do, this is kind of like braid-ception: each side has three plaits braided into one. It’s not nearly as complicated as it looks (or sounds), but it’s sure to become a favorite of bohemian-leaning women in search of new cute hairstyles.

What you need:

• Invisible hair elastics

What you do:

1. Section your hair down the middle into two parts just like you would with normal pigtails.
2. Divide each side of your hair into three sections of its own.
3. Braid each section so you have a total of three plaits on each side.
4. Braid each side’s three individual plaits into one big braid. Then secure each of the larger braids with a clear elastic.
