Rosanna Pansino says she grew up baking at her grandmother's side. But with the way she cooks and creatively crafts food, you'd think she grew up in The Shire with Hobbits, whipping up elevensies and second breakfasts.

Rosanna's the creator of the YouTube show Nerdy Nummies, described as a "geeky cooking show" that has 4.9 million subscribers. She's recently collected 46 recipes into The Nerdy Nummies Cookbook.

Most of the recipes are exclusive to the cookbook, with a few favorites from her YouTube channel thrown in, and the 256-page book is bursting with step-by-step photos so fans can follow along, even if they know their way around the inside of a computer motherboard better than a kitchen pantry. 

The book is divided into recipe categories such as Math & Science, where she lays out instructions to make Geode Candy Cupcakes, and Gaming, where she revisits the 20-Sided Dice Cookies recipe she made with actress Felicia Day.

But if she had to choose, "one of my favorites would have to Star Trek: Voyager." With that in mind, we asked her what she'd bake for a wide variety of characters across the sci-fi and fantasy multiverse.

• The Doctor: "My favorite Doctor Who–related treat I've made was a gingerbread-house TARDIS!"
• Mario: "My very first episode of Nerdy Nummies was a Mario Star cake."
• Furiosa: "I would probably make her something designed after the Mad Max skull logo."
• Sheldon Cooper: "There's actually an episode of Big Bang Theory where they make a Death Star cake. That seems like a lot of fun."
