We always enjoy productions of Hampshire Shakespeare. Lovely setting too.
Great show small beautiful venue
The performance was raw but fantastic. The students performing are very talented and put their own spin on the charaters which I enjoyed.
The show is performed outside so prepare for the weather. *bring bug spray*
You can bring food and drinks, but they do sell snacks and water. Come early to get good seats or bring a blacket to watch it picnic style.
I recommend anyone interested to see the performance.
Sit up close to hear dialogue. Beautiful setting and wonderful acting/play. Lots if fun. Bring a sweater and bug spray.
Feel free to bring food and drink with you. Also, BUG SPRAY. It's worth going to but it's outside and the biters can be nasty at dusk.
Seating is limited to fold up metal chairs. Parking was limited, but there seemed to be enough spaces for everyone, including disability accessible parking. It is completely outdoors, so you may want to bring insect repellent, although some is provided, as well as a jacket. A beautiful venue with great acting and nice staff!
Bring bug spray, sit close to hear
Bring your own chair and bug spray. . It is a lovely locale, and the backdrop of pines behind the stage is wonderful.Turn around at 830 and enjoy the sunset
I like to support local theatre arts. Good practice for the kids too. I just like to see plays outside and watch the sunset on the hill. Some shows are better than others and some Shakespeare plays are more difficult to produce, it seems. It also depends on who is starring in the play or if they had to rely on an understudy. There is so much dialogue for the actors to remember with unfamiliar (to me) vocabulary and phrasing. But that doesn't stop me from going. If you miss all the subtleties, you can get the general idea of the play from the emotions, the way you can tell if wolves are playing or fighting.(Ha Ha) (I try to read the play before I see it but never manage to find the time.)
I really enjoyed the play I went to! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the weather was rainy and the performance had to be in a barn, which was okay but quite hot! Otherwise, this was a great experience, the actors were fantastic, the play was exciting, and I also enjoyed the concessions.
