I think that the professional/business community should know about this restaurant. It is really hard to find. You need to give better directions for quick access from Amherst roads to the east of campus. Maybe a sign - at the restaurant and also at the nearest campus entrance. I have an idea: turn it into an exclusive club - then everyone will want to come.

We had a lovely time with each meal cooked perfectly to individual liking. The meals were well balanced for textures, colors and tastes. We had a nice wine to complement the meal, service was attentive and timely without being intrusive. Overall, we recommend The University Club & Restaurant.

In terms of long range planning, greater attention should be payed to the Colonial decor. Some good improvements have been made but more should be in the planning. Also, little details should also get more attention. There's a wall sconce near the left side if the Boltwood room that's full of dead insects. C'mon guys! Would Amherst College have that?? Otherwise, I had a great experience and we'll be back.

It is very hard to find. It took us a while to find it and someone else we ran into outside was having the same problem.

music has to change - the radio was not pleasant. If I want to listen to commercials and DJ's, I can do that in my car!

The waitstaff was not attentive and the food was quite bad.

Food was only marginal for the price. Soup of the day was not even worth eating. We returned it virtually untouched but only passing apology offered and not taken off of the bill.
