About Hummingbird Hills Winery

Hummingbird Hills Winery started out as one couple's dream of a simpler life. While living in northwestern New Jersey, Ken and Kimm Schick saw more and more properties around them being purchased and developed. To escape the noise and traffic, they bought an old dairy farm in upstate New York and set to work planting thousands of grapevines along its scenic acres. They even transformed the farm's old cow barn into a winery.

Today, the Schicks welcome guests to enjoy the peace and beauty of Hummingbird Hills. They frequently host outdoor events and tastings of their wines, which are made with grapes grown right on the farm and minimal preservatives. Along with flavorful red and white wines, visitors can sample varietals made with elderberries, dandelion, and other fruits and botanicals.

2nd experience at Hummingbird, each time we served by one of the owners. You sense their passion for the product they produce, as they share the makeup and character of each of the wines.

Can’t say enough good about this place! Ken and Kim (the owners) are fantastic people! Obviously put on this earth to make other people happy, which they are awesome at!! NEVER had a less than fantastic experience at Hummingbird Hills Winery! Stop by to see what we mean! Awesome wines that change yearly as Ken “tweaks” his creations!

Beautiful views at the winery. Staff was attentive and very knowledgeable. Everyone was very friendly. The owners are passionate with the wines they have created. Tasted 9 wines and they were delicious. Enjoyed the plate of cheese, crackers and chocolates to go with. Also had their tropical sangria, delicious. Bought a bottle of wine. Cannot wait to go back.
