The pecan pie was overcooked. Almost impossible to slice or chew. I was embarrassed to serve it to my guests.

Had expected these to taste fabulous from the reviews. They were just average.

When I ordered my pastries it said that I could pick them up after 1pm. I was at the location at 1:05pm and no pastries. The locations to pick the items were not convenient to my Round Rock location so being able to pick them up timely was crucial (apparently to me only). Advice for future business: If you tell customers their order will be ready after 1pm, you should at least have their order at the pick up location by 1pm. (1:05 is after 1pm)

This is one of the very best small businesses in Austin. Great treats and great service.

It seemed like there were a lot of hassles and restrictions.

Scheduling was a bit tricky but once done pick up was easy, there was parking right in front of pick up building and that part was hassle free. Cakeballs were a good option for a birthday party in which several of the people could not have a large piece of cake. And they were tasty, home made and not like the fake chemical stuff.

About this Business

Chef Jocelyn Leffall's passion for pastry began in her grandmother's kitchen, where, as a young girl, she honed her culinary skills and mastered revered family recipes. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu and former chef at Disney World's Boardwalk Bakery, chef Leffall now crafts a hearty menu of rich desserts, from buttery, old-fashioned pies to adorably decadent cupcakes.

Her bite-size cake balls have earned lavish praise from Austin Woman magazine, which refers to them as “little bites of heaven.” SugaPlump Pastries also specializes in catering events that range from small family gatherings to arena-size reunions of former reality-TV stars.
