About The HauntedDistrict

Major cities on the East Coast are shrouded in history, which makes them natural breeding grounds for spooky stories and ghostly activities. During nighttime tours that last between 90 minutes and two hours, the HauntedDistrict peels back the masks on some of America's most iconic neighborhoods. Following knowledgeable guides, groups tip-toe past buildings, through parks and cemeteries, and around other areas that are notorious for their paranormal occurrences. In Washington DC, for instance, HauntedDistrict tours explore the steps from The Exorcist, while in Philadelphia, they search for the ghost of Benjamin Franklin, who typically leaves a trail of inventions in his wake.

We loved our guide--this was the most entertaining ghost tour we've been on (and we've done them in DC and several other cities.) There weren't a lot of ghost stories, but as DC locals we had a fabulous time hearing stories about Georgetown and walking around the neighborhoods.

Great tour and guide, highly recommended! Make sure you're able to walk a lot and do steps, though.

This tour was a little odd. It involved a lot of walking for the short amount of stops we made. Also none of the creepy stories had anything to do with the historic places we stopped at. Finally, the guides read off of printouts when telling the stories rather than knowing their facts. They also got some facts wrong, which the group promptly corrected thanks to google. Tour needs some refining.

The guide was not very informed. Also, adding some theatrical aspect to the tour would make it more interesting.

The tour guide was very vague in his stories, which made it a little frustrating.

More haunted stories, and your guides should actually pretend they believe in the haunted stories! Great historical background though!

We were thoroughly disappointed in the tour. The guide did not do a good job of keeping group together. He walked at a very fast pace and the group was seldom fully at the site before discussing the story.

The guide was late and unapologetic about it. The tour was mostly walking around, very little "tour" involved. The information that was actually given was spotty-he didn't know the dates or accurate history. Most of the group left before it was done.

The worst "haunted" tour I have been on. One ghost story if you can call it that. And the guy read from a binder the whole time
