About Matisse & Merlot Boston

Many years ago, Frankie Boyer saw an advertisement for art classes that read “You Too Can Paint.” Why not give it a try, she thought, and enrolled. She was hooked after the very first class. To this day, Frankie still has a great passion for painting, an activity that fills her with a sense of joy and calm. It was this same passion that led her to open her own chapter of Matisse & Merlot in the hopes of hooking other artists.

Led by a pair of professional artists―French-born Jean-Pierre and Carolyn, a native Bostonian―painting classes from Matisse & Merlot Boston equip budding artists with everything they need to recreate popular paintings on their own canvases. Held at venues throughout the city, the classes include the necessary brushes and paints.
