About Ira G Ross Aerospace Museum

The Aerospace Museum was founded by a group of aviation enthusiasts to preserve Amherst's aviation artifacts. Set in the former terminal of the Niagara Falls Internantional Airport, the museum showcases a variety of planes including a Curtiss JN-4, a P-39 Aerocobra, and a Bell Model 47––the first U.S. commercially licensed helicopter. Patrons can examine these aircraft up close and peruse the documents and records relating to their history.

Nice museum! Very knowledgeable volunteers with great stories!! My preteen children loved it. We also hung out a bit at the end to just watch the planes outside on the runways.

Enjoyed this very much. The museum is well organized and bright and easy to move around. Volunteers have excellent, often direct knowledge of the exhibits and can give detailed info. Its easy to get to and has ample parking. Would like to go back and spend more time than we had.
