Bring the kids' friends with. The more, the merrier. Put the little ones in roller skates, not blades, and they learn without the aid of a walker. Bring change for the games.

We had two adults and two kids, three of us had never skated before. They had wheeled guides in three heights you could rent for $5 and everyone was very cautious around the newbies! Great time had by all!

Note to self: Tie your skates really tight, so you don't get blisters on your feet.

It was nice to have a place to go on an unexpected school day off due to severe cold. My son and nephews had a blast.
