About Cherokee Health Massage

Mary Abernathy grew up in a family where alternative healing methods were the norm, and this experience inspired her to attend the Atlanta School of Massage and become a licensed therapist. In addition to her membership with the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, Mary is also certified by the NCBTMB—a nationally recognized organization that tests practitioners and requires regular participation in educational courses. Mary draws on more than a decade of experience as she intuitively locates pain and brings relief with techniques such as deep tissue, neuromuscular therapy, and myoskeletal alignment. While she works, she concentrates on the deeper layers of the body without causing intense pain or embarrassing clients who are part onion.
