About Nia Baltimore

After studying homeopathy and holistic remedies from a young age in her native Brazil, Lola Manekin traveled stateside to hone her acupuncture and massage-therapy techniques. At Nia Baltimore, she draws on her holistic knowledge and teaches students an empowering mix of uninhibited dance moves, martial arts, and healing techniques. Each of Nia's 52 expressive movements are intended to promote a specific outcome, such as the release of negative emotions or the building of inner and outer strength. These movements also target and strengthen specific muscle groups, including the core, arms, and prehensile tail. Certified Nia instructors also include Claudia Soloman and Julia Basset Morrow.

The instructor was just o.k. It felt like it would have been a better environment if she didn't allow children who laughed and giggled through the yoga part. No silence or relaxation in that yoga.
