About Dallas Handmade Arts Market

Dallas Handmade Arts Market, Inc is a magnet for the city's creative community. Once per month, it pulls in a rotating lineup of more than 45 independent artists, designers, and crafting enthusiasts to sell their wares to enthusiastic customers hoping to discover a new artist or innovative piece. Live musicians set the mood as visitors wander past stalls, chatting with the artists behind the work and purchasing jewelry, pottery, and other creations. On select days, the market transforms into a center for artistic education where professional artists teach visitors to craft jewelry and mold ten-gallon hats out of clay.

Had a great time painting wine glasses. Would definitely take other classes from them. Relaxed atmosphere. Fun.

This was a fun experience for an individual or a group of friends. However, I would have preferred that the instructor not go so fast through his demonstration and instruction. Most of us were beginners, and few were able to keep up with him.

I had a fun time, but was disappointed that I didn't leave with a finished product. I have to do a considerable about of work at home to create my wind chime. If the description would have stated that there is a DIY aspect to the craft I would have been better prepared.

The market itself was excellent if you were interested in jewelry. It was disappointing there were not more vendors with different products .the wind chime glass presented by Jorge was fun, informative, and very worthwhile.
