About NC Dancesport

Shari Huggett has been studying tap, jazz, and ballet dance since she was 5, a passion that can be tracked through her collection of regional, national, and international awards. Huggett has appeared on the Today Show and CNN with star Julio Iglesias to illustrate the beauty of Tango, Iglesias’s 1996 album. Now at the helm of her own studio, NC Dancesport, Huggett teaches styles ranging from the carolina shag to the disco hustle to students divided by skill level, preventing novices from accidentally getting trampled in a tango stampede. Huggett’s instruction alights on the feet of her students in a variety of settings, including private or semiprivate environs and group classes, all of which can foster confidence in social dancing or the more advanced skill required for competition.
