About Practical Defense Systems

Meet the Staff

Practical Defense Systems is a licensed training facility for the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, so it's no surprise that its instructors have years of law-enforcement and private-security experience under their belts. To keep their skills sharp, staff members remain active members of professional training organizations, such as International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association and ASIS International. Additionally, many instructors are certified by the state and NRA.

Training Opportunities

Whether students are seeking to improve their self-defense capabilities in a personal or professional capacity, instructors can teach them the most effective methods for protecting themselves and others.

Practical Defense Systems' firearms courses often combine classroom instruction with live-fire practice at an outdoor range, so students can apply what they've learned. In addition to home-defense and concealed-carry training, the center offers CPR and first-aid classes.
