Evergreen Wilderness Guides is a local small business specializing in beginner to expert rock climbing, rappelling, and wilderness survival instruction in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. We are Evergreen’s only Rock Climbing and Survival School. EWG operates all year outside of family holidays and major snow storms. To book a course, ask questions or reserve a date, contact us via phone or email. EWG’s climbing instructors are trained by the American Mountain Guides Association and wilderness first responders. Our group of six, age range from 8 to mid 40s, had a great time. Ryan and Luke were knowledgeable, encouraging, and fun. We would do this again the next time we visit.

We had a wonderful experience with Evergreen Wilderness Guides! Our instructor, Ryan, made all of us (who were beginners) feel comfortable, while also clearly explaining basic repelling techniques. The group was only the members of our party, so there was a lot of individual attention and time to practice the repelling skills. Awesome time. Highly recommend.

Scheduling was direct with individual, and easy enough. Rory, our leader for the day was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of misc information for wilderness survival. Very happy we took the class. It was a great experience.

The guide was knowledgeable and experienced. We were not able to snowshoe but he led us on a great wilderness hike nonetheless, and we learned alot.
