JBZ is just the right size - about a 4 hour casual stroll with the wife. Had not been there for many years. Nice to see that they keep improving the grounds, exhibits , etc. Kids there were all excited about the many creatures.

Go during the weekday during this time of year. So much nicer as far as crowds and being able to see all of the animals. The wallabies are the cutest thing ever and great that they can roam with people in their area.

Bring your own lunch to enjoy right outside the zoo and enjoy the afternoon exploring animals. Can go through zoo (with children) in a half day!

We went in the morning so there were less people. Easy parking in the morning too!

The animals are a bit sad, so be prepared. You can take your own food and drinks in, so it can help to save money.
