About Pencil Portraits by Ashley

For Pencil Portraits by Ashley's namesake, the pencil is certainly mightier than the camera lens. However, she does use photos as a jumping off point for her art—intricate drawings of kids, pets, houses, and special memories, such as weddings or the anniversary of the day you ate an entire roll of Bubble Tape. Whatever the subject, she leaves her patrons with a portrait ready to slip in a frame. To share her passion with even more people, Ashley also teaches drawing classes, during which groups share glasses of wine while learning to sketch portraits of their own.
