A tucked away museum that is much larger than it seems. A self guided tour that begins with a 20 minute pre-recorded explanation of several of Stonewall Jackson’s battles. The lecture utilizes a giant topographical map with lights to show the union and confederate paths in real-time. My eight year old thought it was great. The museum has several locally donated pieces, adding a personal touch.

It was a really nice museum for adult and children. It is in a really cute town in Virginia called Dayton.

We enjoyed the Heritage Museum very much. loved all the history and the displays. Very well displayed. The state of Virginia has allot of history and this was one of them.I went with my husband and my son and we put this at the top of the list. I think everyone with kids needs to see and learn about our history.

Visited this place while in Harrisonburg and it was truly informational. Nice place. Would def visit again.
