About Relish Culinary Adventures

Relish Culinary Adventures offers experiences that highlight Sonoma County's finest farms and ranches, bakeries, cheese makers, and other artisan goods. Though Relish Culinary Center in Healdsburg serves as headquarters for public and private events, a wide range of tours and hands-on cooking experiences take place offsite at a variety of local epicurean destinations. Focusing on seasonal, locally grown, and locally produced ingredients, the program's events match locations with skilled chefs to create cheese or craft elaborate meals.

From season to season, dedicated foodie and owner Donna del Rey works with chefs to alter the menus that fuel Relish Culinary Adventures' expeditions and classes. Special guests vary, including chefs Louis Maldonado of Top Chef and Spoonbar; Todd Knoll of Jordan Winery; producers from Bernier Farms, Twisted Horn Ranch, Preston of Dry Creek, and Valley Ford Cheese; and wine makers from Longboard, Kelley and Young, and Preston Vineyards.

Relish was great! The owner was warm and welcoming and the mozzarella class was great. We'll be back for future classes.

Class should be scheduled for a longer period.. As it ran over anyway. Also seemed like a infomercial for the beverage people, which worked because I bought a cheese making package as I left. Overall a fun enjoyable experience.

Relish is a great place for cooking classes. Staff are knowledgeable, presenters are very good, and the number of attendees per class is small enough to allow everyone some hands-on time during the session.

The "hands on" at the end of the class was not a real learning experience. The cheese making at the end of the class seemed like a token try to produce a good mozzarella. Being one of the last participants in the line, I hardly had any cheese curds to work with and I felt like I was going through the motions instead of really being taught and watched to be able to make a perfect product out of almost nothing. I enjoyed the class, the enthusiasm of the host and speakers. The wine tasted green and young, not enjoyable. But thank you for the idea of having a glass there for us. I wouldn't recommend a class like this to anyone else.
