This is the place to go on a manatee tour!! (Which everyone should do at least once if not a dozen times!!) I have gone out with American Pro several times and always had a unique, close-up, experience with these beautiful manatees. Between TJ in the shop, Ryan and Abby on the tour, and everyone else we bumped into.... all made for a personalized, knowledgeable, wonderful experience.
Ryan and Ryan are amazing captains and guides. They were friendly and informative. They taught us about the bay and springs, the manatees, and different fish. Answered all questions and made sure everyone had an opportunity to swim near a manatee. It was an epic experience and definitely one we recommend. American Pro Diving is professional and go above and beyond. Thanks.

Our family (including teenagers) was wowed by this experience! The staff was so welcoming when booking over the phone, and again when we entered their shop on the day of our excursion. Austin, our guide, was very friendly and down to earth throughout the experience, from introducing the video of "what not to do" with the manatees, to driving us to the marina, finding successful manatee sighting spots, and explaining so many facts and helpful hints to have the best views, knowledge, and experience while on the snorkel tour. He also gave helpful, kind reminders to keep a safe distance from the manatees to not touch or overcrowd them, but allowed us just close enough to see them well. The captain of the boat, Bruce, was also great in taking us to 3 different areas, pointing out manatee sightings to ensure we could see as many manatees as possible during our time. The first spot was a little "silty" providing difficult visibility plus the multiple manatees were moving briskly eating the seagrass along the way. It was actually a little difficult keeping up with them. So Austin and Bruce felt it'd be wiser to move to a clearer location to have better views. This was a great decision as they spotted a mama and calf for us to swim nearby with much better visibility and less movement needed. The pool noodles they provided were also helpful to keep us stationary and afloat to not disturb the manatees while we snorkeled nearby. Since we had a bit extra time, Austin and Bruce suggested the option of stopping briefly at Three Sisters Springs on our way back to the marina. No manatees were there but the natural beauty and crystal clear water were stunning there... an additional highlight to the trip! I was especially impressed at the camaraderie between the various companies providing these snorkel adventures. It was refreshing to see how nice and helpful they all were in spotting manatees and sharing the space safely vs. being territorial about the snorkel tour areas. I highly recommend American Pro Diving Center and Austin and Bruce!
