About Knoxville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Knoxville

Knoxville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu may be geographically located in Tennessee, but its curriculum belongs to Brazil. The instructors use the Gracie jujitsu training method, pioneered and honed by Brazil's first family of jujitsu, the Gracies. Focusing on takedowns, joint locks, and ground grappling techniques, teachers guide gi-clad students in one-hour wrestling matches across the gym's 6,000-square-foot expanse of gray mats. To supplement this curriculum, they conduct kickboxing classes and cardio-fitness training sessions. Teachers cater to a diverse student base, reserving certain class times for children, women, and bridge trolls.
