About Stottle Winery

To make their award-winning, handcrafted wines, Amy and Josh Stottlemyer source their grapes from the local eastern Washington fields in the Horse Heaven Hills, Yakima Valley, and Columbia Valley. From that harvest, they craft thirteen wines, ranging from classics such as cabernet sauvignon and malbec to less-common wines such as tempranillo and viognier.

Lucy did a great job explaining grape questions, wine questions ( especially the blends), and even managed our group of 3 and another group of 3 who came in shortly thereafter, and even managed to ring up and wrap 6 bottles to 3 separate purchases. She gave me some coupons to use at my vacation rental, also.

The winemaker was pouring at the tasting room the day we visited and we had a great time talking with him about his winery and wine. Please note that the Hoodsport Tasting room's hours change during the year, twice during the fall, so make sure they're going to be open when you visit.

I had a wonderful wine tasting experience! Lucy was so amazing. She was so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the wines. The wines I tasted were very, very good. I was so impressed with the rosé and the dessert wine that I bought one of each. Excellent wines. Highly recommend! I'll be back!

The wine host at the west seattle location was wonderful. She described the wine very well and there were lots of different wines to try. All that I tried were really good and I purchased a bottle to enjoy at home.

Friendly but not tasty unless you love a super dry wine selection.
