It is a hit and miss beach , with the seaweed!!. But love to go there and sit and enjoy!!

I have always loved this beach. The kids love the playground and the carousel. I like that we can bring boogie boards to ride the waves. I think at the beginning of summer the water is nicer. It seems as summer goes by there is more red tide. You really never know till you get there. But, I went the second week of August and ended up leaving. There was so much red tide you couldn't swim. It was everywhere. Watch out for seagulls also. Keep your food well covered. We went in the water for awhile and came back to no chips. They even took bags that weren't open. One took my daughters sandwich right out of her hand as she was eating it. It is a nice sandy beach with nice waves.

Great beach for kids! Be aware of the "red tide" and VERY aggressive seagulls though! Plenty to do, they even rent boogie boards for the day. Had a great lunch, loved the carousel, and the Save the Bay Exploration center was lots of fun!

The beach is somewhat dirty and the facilities don't look like they are kept up very well.

Lots of red tide :( other than that clean and beautiful scenery
