The food was amazingly good however we have two negatives. First, the place is noisy and more like a family style pizzeria than a 'fine dining' restaurant. Second, I noticed that the broom that they use to clean out the wood fired oven rested on the floor which is obviously not sanitary. I told the manager who promptly did nothing. If they will do that in plain sight, what happens in the kitchen? That being said, the food was fantastic.

Try not to sit in the middle of restaurant directly behind door on a cold night. Many pAtrons coming and going made for a cold experience needed to wear coat to eat the food

My new favorite Italian restaurant in Virginia Beach - a wonderful discovery. We lived in Italy for several years, and the food we had at La Bella Italia at Redmill was on par with any we've eaten before. The wood-fired pizzas were perfect, the mussels as good as any I've eaten fresh in Sardinia, the split salad was excellent, and the wine list was nice and reasonably priced. As an extra bonus, there are several craft brews on tap at the bar and they will happily let you have a sample. The atmosphere was very pleasant, providing small tables for an intimate dinner and larger tables for family dining. Our server, Marshelle, was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. We will go back.
