The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a really good time. Thank you.

On the downside, the operators were inexperienced and didn't really show us all there was to know about the kayaks. The loooong portgage was also not explained well enough and not nearly enough trolleys to portgage the kayaks.

Have pickup van waiting at end point - doesnt make sense for customers to wait 20min

Philip was a awesome guide, explained the area well, gave us plenty of warning for upcoming obstacles. Excellent experience. I will come back next time I am in Whistler. Thanks!

Hire more mature, informed staff. Staff seems bored and uninterested in answering any questions about the kayaking tour.

Terrible experience

I have booked the tour days in advance and was promised a pick up from the hotel. But when I called on the day of the tour, my name wasn't registered, and I almost wasn't able to do the tour that day. There was no pick up. I had to rush there in the last minute and it ended up a stressful morning before the tour. Backroads didn't apologize or try to help in this situation.

I didn't appreciate being told that Backroads was overbooked after I made and confirmed my reservation well in advance.

I was with a party of 7 women. We were dissapointed that things weren't more organized prior to our arrival as we were the first group going out and that overall (other than the young woman who helped us with check in who seemed to have a really good work ethic & was very respectful & kind) the other staff were not all that helpful. The orientation we were given before leaving made us feel that we would be an inconvenience if we were to flip while paddling as it was a pain for them to come rescue us. None of the 7 women were very impressed with the overall experience which was really dissapointing as that was our main reason for visiting Whistler.
