The DJ Dash may have two D's in its title, but the run's philosophy hinges on three: disco, dash, and dance. Runners sport disco-inspired outfits, or other ridiculous costumes—one past runner dressed as a bottle of mustard—while they dash, untimed, down the course. Along the way, they jam out to high-octane DJ sets peppered with throwback classics. Finally, at the finish line, the sundown event morphs from a run to a full-blown dance party, where patrons wave glowsticks and LED lights while a live DJ provides the beat.
